| Birth: | Jul. 11, 1841 | | Death: | Jun. 26, 1925 |  Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Served in the Civil War as a Corporal in Company G, 1st Rhode Island Volunteer Light Artillery. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Petersburg, Virginia on April 2, 1865. His citation reads “Was one of a detachment of 20 picked artillerymen who voluntarily accompanied an infantry assaulting party, and who turned upon the enemy the guns captured in the assault”.
