Daniel~Raskel~Galan passed away at a very young age of nineteen years old. He was a suicide victim due to many problems he was facing all at once. He just couldn't handle the pressure of a few legal issues he was facing.
Daniel was the kindest respectful kid there could be to have as a friend and my claim of a younger brother. He was introduced to the family when my younger brothers Tony and Johnny brought him home one day. From there on out he was always over visiting our parents house. I then moved into this big house a couple of blocks away where all of a sudden there was a knock on the door. I was so happy to see him standing there at the doorway. I'll never forget that day. Daniel was always visting me and I really loved his company. He always use to try to wrestle me even though it was always the same result.
Daniel always perferred to be called Raskel. That was the only name everyone knew hm by. He was brought up in California where he brought with him the life style of low riders, baggy pants, and zoot suits. He was always very well dressed. He did have a tattoo of a tear drop on his eye which symbolized the loss of a friend who was killed in a gang drive by shooting. His family moved away from California to Colorado to get away from this type of dangerous environment.
I was a big brother to him trying to help him with making the right decisions in life. If he did get in trouble, he did try to hide it from me because he knew I was going to get on him. There was never any signs of him ever being unhappy in his life. I think everything just caved in on him all at once and thought he could never overcome it. The day I heard that he left, I couldn't believe it. I was stunned because he was such a good looking bright kid. He brought joy to everyone he touched and he will always be in the hearts of many.
