Wilfred owned a livery in Teeswater and drove sulkies. He enjoyed to horse race. Whenever he and his family visited his brother, Elmer, in Detroit, they went to the sulky races.
From 1914-1916 Wilfred moved to Kitchener to Babcock & Williams munitions to make shells for WWI war effort. For safety purposes they stood ankle deep in water.
Then he went to Detroit and worked in a grocery store.
He had a pearl handled stub revolver.
He was always blamed for his father's death 'because he wasn't home looking after the horses'.
After his marriage, Wilfred and Elenore returned to Kitchener, where he was a milkman for Silverwoods Dairy.
