MRS. J. E. MORRISON
Mrs. Verbie Morrison, 60, died at 3:45 p.m. yesterday in her home in Ava after an illness of four months.
A native of the Ava community, Mrs. Morrison returned six years ago after residing for more than a quarter century in Oklahoma. She was a member of Capital Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband, J. Everett Morrison, one son, Quincy Morrison, Ardmore, Okla.; three brothers, the Rev. Ernest H. Hamby of Ava, Otto Hamby of Smallett and Wesley Hambet of Springfield; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Miller of Lindsay, Calif., Mrs. Eula Chesebrough of Springfield, Mrs. Myrlie Reynolds of Pueblo, Col., and Mrs. Bonnie Blagg of Denver and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava with the Rev. Ernest M. Kennedy of Oklahoma City officiating. Burial will be in Fannin Cemetery.
