John Whitacre III served in the French and Indian Wars for the Crown.
John Whitacre III and Keziah (Taylor) Whitacre had three children:
1. John B. Whitacre b 1760 in NJ or VA.
*2. Edward Stacy Whitacre Sr.: 1761 in Loudoun Co, VA - 1840 Minerva, Stark Co, OH. Plains McKinley Cemtery. Across from President McKinley's farm, Columbiana Co, OH.
3. Annie Whitacre b 1763 in Loudoun Co, VA.

John and Kesiah Whitacre's son Edward Stacy Whitacre Sr. and his wife Martha Brown had 13 children. Edward Stacy Whitacre Sr. and wife Martha (Brown) Whitacre moved with several of their children from Va to Pa by 1799, to Ohio by 1804 where they settled permanently. Edward & Martha Whitacre III were Quakers, and they transferred their certificates to the Middleton, OH Friends Monthly Meeting in 1805.
