John(3) Walker was the son of Capt. John(2) Walker, the Loyalist, and Christiana (unknown). He was born in Worcester town, in the house on Salisbury St, which was built by his Grandfather, Sgt. William(1) Walker who came from N.Ireland to Boston, 1718. The house later became known as the Bancroft House.
John (3) Walker married Mary Willard in 1776. They moved to Barre Plains, about 1797.
Mary Willard Walker remarried Lt. Job Dexter, and died 1824. Her burial place is unknown. The children of John(3) Walker and Mary Willard are recorded in the MA Vital records as; Adam b.1783, Adam b.1785, Alexander b. 1791, Eliza b. 1792, Henry b. 1795, John b. 1779, Katherine b. 1781, Robert b. 1788, William b. 1778.
The parents of Mary Willard Walker Dexter were Jonathan Willard and Phebe Ballard.
Adam married Fidelia S Geer, William married Lucy Gray, Katherine married Reuben King, and John married Sarah Fitch.
Sgt. William(1) Walker came from N. Ireland to Boston 1718, and died in Worcester, MA., 1760. He was buried in Worcester, probably in the old cemetery on the Commons.
