Ann Colquitt Johns of Palm Harbor, Pike Road, Alabama, died February 17, 2008. She was 79.

She was born in Fulton County, Georgia, on October 22, 1928, the daughter of the late William Hensler and Nelah Belle Johnson Alsobrook. Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama, and was a retired Tax Examining Assistant Account Specialist with the Internal Revenue Service and was a member of the National Treasurers Employees Union.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Fred Johns; a daughter, Martha Hines; two brothers, Henry Alsobrook and Thomas Alsobrook; and a sister, Martha Allen.

Survivors include a son, Chuck Johns of Pike Road, Alabama; a sister, Charlotte Folds of Huntsville, Ala.; a grandson and his wife, Rev. Michael and Laura Dawson of Warsaw, Va.; and a great-granddaughter, Victoria Dawson of Warsaw, Va.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 2 p.m. from Rainwater Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Dawson officiating. Selected music will be rendered. Interment services will follow in the Bowdon City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Feb. 21 from noon until the funeral hour.
