* Dudly was the son of Noadiah and Ruth (Seymore) Deming of Wethersfield, Connecticut.
* 23 Aug 1739 Dudley, his mother, and his siblings are named in his father's Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut Last Will & Testament: sons Solomon, Hezekiah, Dudley, Zachariah; dau Dorothy; & widow Ruth ("Connecticut, Wills and Probate Records 1609-1999 for Noadiah Deming, " pg. 1320 of 1600).
* Jun 1757 Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts, Dudley is mention in the journal of Josiah Wright, wherein he notes that his wife was returning to Wethersfield..., accompanied by Dudley Deming, brother-in-law of Sarah Deming (nee Kirkham), wife of Solomon from Wethersfield. Here is Josiah Wright's wife traveling with Solomon's brother, Dudley. And to make it clear which Solomon... the writer gives Sarah's maiden name and ID'd Dudley her brother-in-law. There is pitiful little found about Solomon's brother Dudley b. 1731. Except now we know 25 yr-old Dudley traveled in 1757 from Pittsfield to Wetherfield.
* 22 Dec 1762 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut Dudley married Lydia Leonard, dau of Abel & Elizabeth Leonard of Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts.
* We do not know the date that Dudley died.
* Dudley's wife, Lydia, b. abt 1735, d. in Connecticut, aged 77, on 7 Mar 1812.

"Before the town of Pittsfield was founded, for six months Josiah Wright from Wethersfield was in charge of Fort Poontoosuck in the French and Indian War (1754-1759), Poontoosuck being the original Indian name of Pittsfield. By courtesy of the Mass. Hist. Society, the memorialist was provided a copy of "Josiah Wright's Journal att Poontoosuck By order of Coll Isral Wms," written by Josiah from Apr. 29, 1756 to Feb. 20, 1757. This journal includes the passage that Josiah's wife was returning to Wethersfield to see some of her friends, accompanied by Dudley Deming, the brother-in-law of Sarah Deming, wife of Solomon from Wethersfield. Mrs. Sarah Deming is credited with being the first white woman to settle at Pittsfield, Mass. Her husband, Solomon, b. 1726, is often confused by a cousin of the same name b. 1822, who settled in New York.
