George married Mary "Grace" (Lapole) Myers (31 July 1897 - 8 Mar 1976) on 8 June 1917 in Catonsville, Baltimore County, Maryland.
George was a member of the Auxiliary Police during World War II. He was in charge of the Standard Oil Company (now Exxon Oil) gas station on Frederick Road in Catonsville during the 1930s. Then George became a Chief Custodian and Stationary Engineer for the Baltimore County School System until his retirement. He was one of the original organizers of the Catonsville 4th of July Parade.
In 1926, George and Grace purchased land from James B. and Nina E. McCurley and lived in the house they built at 1403 McCurley Avenue in Catonsvile until each of their deaths.
