Mrs. Hernandez, 76, of Alexandria entered eternal life on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 in St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.
She was a native of Oklahoma. She was of the Catholic Faith. She was a retired nurse with the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Pineville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Eugene Hernandez, Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Hernandez of Alexandria and Pat Hernandez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sons, Eugene Hernandez, Jr. of Monroe and Ronald Hernandez of Tioga; three sisters, Agnes Antilley of Sarepto, Louisiana, Ermadale Tate of Natchitoches, and Lowena Busby of Busby, Maryland; one brother, Raymond Buffer of Green Acres City, Florida. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, (Thursday), and from 8 a.m. until time of service on Friday in Rush Funeral Home.
