Wilford "Mac" McCullough was born and grew up in a small town in the furthest reaches of the East Coast of the United States. There weren't very many missed opportunities when Goober (as his daughter knew him) would let his friends and family know that you couldn't get any further east in the United States than Eastport Maine.
Mac grew up to work as a teen in the Sardine Factory, then went on to a 20+ year career as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Mac met his lovely wife [Dottie] when Mac was in the Air Force, stationed at Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
While in the Air Force, Mac was stationed at different bases in the U.S., including Texas, Washington State, Clovis New Mexico, and Los Angeles California. Mac also spent time in Libya, the Phillipines, and Izmir Turkey as he was a flight line crew chief.
After retirement, Mac became an electrician, as well as an engineer at the airbase bowling alley at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, OK.
After living for more than 20+ years in Oklahoma City, Mac and his wife Dottie moved to the Mid Cities (Ft. Worth) area of Texas to be with family.
