Wilton - Mrs. D. F. Duncan died at her home here Monday morning at 11:45 o'clock. She had been a sufferer for the past eight years of a disease of the nerves of the face and head. During this time she has had seven operations, the
last one being last Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock, after which she never fully regained consciousness, her death coming 24 hours after the operation.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, after which the remains will be taken to Rochester for interment.
Mrs. Duncan, whose maiden name was Catherine Matilda Baker, was born in Rochester, Cedar county in 1853. She was married to Daniel F. Duncan in 1875. The resided on a farm in Cedar county until eight years ago, when they moved to Wilton.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by her husband, one son Harry, of Cresbard, South Dakota, and one daughter Miss Nellie at home.
She is also survived by her mother Mrs. Sarah Baker, who resides on a farm in Cedar county, four brothers, Will Baker of Muscatine, Frank Baker of Cedar County, Mack Baker of Chesbard S.D., and J. T. Baker of Hanford, Cal., and by
three sisters, Mrs. Anna Artz of Atalissa, Mrs. Emma Heabner of Cedar county, and Mrs. George Snider of Muscatine.
