"MAYFLOWER, Ark. -- Betty Jean (Arbuckle) Parrish, 49, Mayflower, formerly of St Joseph, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at a Conway, Ark., hospital.

Born in St Joseph on Sept. 11, 1953, Mrs. Parrish had lived in St Joseph before moving to Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6760 Auxiliary in St Joseph and American Legion Auxiliary in Arkansas.

On Aug. 15, 1980, she married Kenneth Parrish, Sr., in St Joseph. He survives of the home. Also surviving are a son, Timothy Hastings of St Joseph; a stepson, Kenneth L. Parrish of California state; stepdaughters, Connie Laminack of Rossville, Ga., and Beth Parrish of California state; a brother, Rex Arbuckle of St Joseph; five sisters, Inga Bruce, Kay Farris, Connie Brumback, Twila Winsor and Teresa Smith, all of St Joseph.

Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Rachel Arbuckle, and a daughter, Deanna Bowman.

Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Odd Fellows Public Cemetery." St Joseph News-Press, November 8, 2002
