Morton, IL - Thomas William Privett, 86, formerly of Metamora, died at 4:38 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Morton Terrace, where he was a resident.

Born Jan. 25, 1917, in Muncie, Ind., to William and Millie Brimhert Privett, he married Alice E. Tull on June 4, 1938. She preceded him in death. He later married his second wife, Sinnia, on March 23, 1994. She also preceded him in death.

He also was preceded in death by two grandchildren and one daughter, Diane Linde.

Surviving are one son, Thomas D.; one daughter, Carolyn Anderson; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was a veteran.

He worked for Keystone Steel & Wire Co. in Bartonville for 43 years, retiring in 1981 as a wire drawer.

He was a former member of Peoria Sportsman's Club.

Cremation will be accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
