Obituary from the San Antonio Light, January 15, 1929

Funeral Services for J. P. Holland, employed by the San Antonio Public Service company for the past 24 years, and member of the executive board of the Trainsmen's Local No 604, who died early Monday, were held at the parlors of Hagy & McCollum Monday afternoon. Mr. Holland had resided in San Antonio 26 years,
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. J. P. Holland; two sons, A. B. and George Holland of San Antonio, and two daughters, Mrs. Tom Smith of San Antonio and Mrs. Willie Volmer of Fort Worth; and a brother, W. E. Rodenberry of Lockhart, and two sisters.

John was the son of Mary Sarah Wheeler and John Elias Holland. John died of a gun accident in Florida.
