Millie Anita Sigea was born at Crescent, Iowa, September 9, 1885, and departed this life at the General Hospital in Grand Island, Nebr., April 22nd at the age of thirty-nine years, seven months and thirteen days. She was the eldest of a family of four children. At the age of six months she came to Carnes, Nebraska, where she grew to womanhood, and made her home there until moving to Palmer, Nebraska, in May 1918.
She was married to Clarence Lambert, September 10th, 1903. To this union were born two children, William and Grace, both of whom she has left behind.
Mrs. Lambert had been ailing for some time and in February of this year was taken ill, and was confined to her bed for weeks. She had sufficiently improved to be able to be up and around the house when she was taken suddenly worse adn it was thought best to move her to the hospital at Grand Island.
The last few days her suffering was intense. All that medical skill and tender care could do, was of no avail, and Wednesday forenoon, in the presence of her family, death came to bring relief, and the spirit of a noble woman left the worn out body and slipped away to it's Maker.
Mrs. Lambert's friends were numbered only by her acquaintances. Her ever ready sympathy and understanding made her beloved of all who came in contact with her, and her passing will leave a place in their hearts and lives that cannot be filled.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Saturday afternoon, and interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.
