Christopher James Gentry was the son of Christopher C. Gentry and Malinda E. Mecham. He married Agnes Frances Bishop on September 15, 1898, in Gordon Creek, Carbon, Utah.

HELPER, Carbon County- Funeral services for Christopher James Gentry, 76, who died at his home at 15 Bryner St., here Tuesday, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Mitchell Funeral Chapel in Price, by Lynn Broadbent, bishop of the Helper Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was born Nov. 8, 1875, at Santaquin, the son of Christopher C. and Malinda E. Mecham Gentry.
Mr. Gentry had resided most of his life in Carbon County and was a retired coal miner.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Agnus [sic] Bishop Gentry, Helper, he is survived by four sons, Theodore Gentry, Castle Gate, Robert Gentry, Peerless, Carbon County; Melvin and Clark Gentry, both of Helper; two daughters, Mrs. Malinda Auberger, Carbonville and Mrs. Pearl Hearing, Vancouver, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery under the direction of the Mitchell Funeral Home.
