From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Tuesday, January 1, 1946, p. 23:

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Guardian Funeral Home for Mrs. Cora Willette Sellers, 80, native of Fairfield and resident of Fort Worth for 40 years, who died early Monday at her home, 917 E. Allen. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Sellers made her home here with a daughter, Mrs. B. W. Rogers, at the Allen address.

Other survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Lyda Solomon, Miami, Fla.; Mrs. H. D. Morgan and Mrs. Fred Tribble of Fort Worth; Mrs. Charles Welstead, Houston; Mrs. F. E. Hester, Donna, and Mrs. C. M. Simpson, Colorado Springs; two brothers; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors: Seven daughters, Mrs. Lyda Solomon, Miami, Fla.; Mrs. B. W. Rodgers, Mrs. H. D. Morgan and Mrs. Fred Tribble all of Fort Worth; Mrs. Charles Welstead, Houston, Texas; Mrs. F. E. Hester, Donna, Texas; Mrs. C. M. Simpson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Botner Cane, Fairfield, Texas and Willian Cane, San Antonio, Texas. Pallbearers, Joe Coleman, Ray Luke, G. T. Kirkpatrick, J. E. Crane, Earl Jennings and Edison Turpin. Funeral services 2 p.m. Wednesday Guardian Funeral Home. Dr. Forrest Feezor officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Guardian Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
