I was very young when my grandmother passed but I treasure every memory of our short time together. My sister Melissa had more memories and I was fascinated with all the stories she told me.I wish I had been able to ask my grandmother about her time in the women's army as a WACC. My father told me she got to meet actor Alan Ladd when she was working as a nurse in the WAC. He was visiting soldiers in the hospital and was very nice to her. It must have been very exciteing and hard to live in those days. I remember once her talking about her sister Dinky who died, she must have missed her dearly. I also love all the art work she drew and made for Melissa and me. I framed several of her drawings including one of Mickey Mouse that are so lovely. I know she and my grandfather loved us with all their heart and they will forever be in my heart. I wish that other's in the family were as generous, kind and sharing as they were to us. I'm so blessed to have such loving and careing grandparents.I look forward to the day when we are all together again.

One of Betty's favorite Bible scripture:

Jesus said "Do not let your heart be troubled, trust in God trust also in me. In my fathers house there are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14.1-3
