Theron S. Dayhoff, 84, formerly of Gettysburg, died Friday afternoon, April 9, at the Green Acres Home of Gettysburg.
He was born May 19, 1914 to the late Samuel and Grace Sterner Dayhoff.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Marie Appler Dayhoff, with whom he was married 61 years.
Dayhoff was a life-long member of Communications Workers of America and was also an Adams County Fish and Game Association member. He was a farmer, mill worker, and Western Union telegraph operator until becoming disabled; he then retired from farming.
He is survived by two sons, T. S. Dayhoff Jr., of Gettysburg, and B. R. Dayhoff, of Hanover, two daughters, S. A. Chilcote, of Houstontown and K. D. O'Callaghan, of Corpus Christi, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Interment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.
