Paul B. Story, 72, of Columbia, Ill., born Aug. 26, 1932, in St. Louis, Mo., died Monday, July 18, 2005.
Mr. Story was retired from Ameren U E, St. Louis, Mo., where he had worked as a pipefitter and mechanic. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ellen, nee Winstead, Story.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, nee Weinhold, Story, whom he married June 23, 1956, in St. Louis, Mo.; two sons, Kevin Story of Brentwood, Mo., and Craig Story of Columbia, Ill.; four sisters, Shirley Parker of Phoenix, Ariz., Mary Ellen Feilner of Granite City, Ill., Viola (Clinton) Fink of Waterloo, Ill., and Dorothy (John) Mezyk of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, Ill., with Pastor Steven Theiss officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Columbia, Ill.
