Preston C. Rice, a former resident here, died at his home on Rose Creek, two miles west of Reynolds, last week and was buried in the cemetery here on Sunday by Russell Post G.A.R., of which he was a former member.

Died: Friday Oct 28th at Rose Creek, Preston Rice of malarial fever. Mr. Rice was well respected in the community where he lived as an honest upright man, and on Sunday, the day of his burial, was followed to his last resting place at Fairbury by a large concourse of sympathizing friends. He was buried under the auspices of the G.A.R. He leaves a wife and two children who have teh heart-felt sympathy of the entire community.
