He played the role of 'Pancho' in the 1950s series "The Cisco Kid," which appeared on television and in assorted movies. Wrote the book "The California I Love" shortly before his death in 1961. He served on the California Beach and Parks commission for eighteen years and was instrumental in the state's acquisition of the Hearst property at San Simeon. In recognition of his service to the Beach and Parks Commission, Leo Carrillo State Park was named after him. (bio by: A.J.
