Mrs. A.H. Giles died Saturday night, after an illness of only a few hours. The cause of her death was inflammation of the stomach. At the time of her death, she was living at 110 Oak Street, and she leaves a husband and two children.

Mrs. Giles came to this city with her husband a few years ago from Athens, where she was formerly a Miss Alice Hanson.

The funeral was conducted from the First Baptist Church, on Monday afternoon, the Rev. Marvin Gordon officiating. The remains were interred in the City Cemetery.

Alice Marie Hanson married John Hoffman Holt in Limestone Co., AL on September 20, 1903. He died April 14, 1904 and buried Athens City Cemetery. On August 31, 1905 Alice Marie (nee Hasson) Holt married A. H. (Arthur Halbert) Giles in Limestone Co., AL.
