Professional Football Player. For four seasons (1950 to 1952, 1954), he played at the defensive-back and halfback positions in the National Football League with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. Born Dominic Angelo Moselle, he attended Hurley High School (Wisconsin), and served in the Pacific Theater with the US Army during World War II. Upon returning home, he studied at Superior State Teachers College (now University of Wisconsin-Superior), earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education, and achieved all-Conference in football and basketball, while lettering four-times. He concluded his career with the Yellowjackets, as the school's all-time leader in several football statistical categories. Selected by Cleveland during the 23rd round of the 1950 NFL Draft, Moselle, appeared in 43 career regular season games, recording 886 kick-return yards. He was a member of the 1950 NFL Champion Browns' squad, and recorded 547 kick-return yards, while with Green Bay in 1951. He extended his professional career, playing with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. Following his football career, he returned to the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where he taught and coached several sports. (bio by: C.S.)
