SPATES — Josephine Zook Spates, passed away February 17, 1972. A native of Highland Park, Illinois, and a resident of Pasadena since 1914, where she was a 50 year member of the Sierra Club. She is survived by her brother, David Foster Zook of Pasadena; cousins, Guy G. Becknell and Mrs. Lucile Y. Peacock, both of Florida, Ralph H. Becknell and Mrs. George M. Lind, both of Indiana, Mrs. Douglas A. Disney of Rolling Hills Estates. Services 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, in Memory Chaple, Ives & Warren Co., 100 North Hill Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
