Mrs. Ruth Ann Dykeman, widow of the late James B. Dykeman, died at the home of her son, Willard, in Tilly Foster Wednesday morning after a short illness, in her 81st year. She was a daughter of the late Samuel Mabie and Polly Boldt and was born in the town of Patterson Sept. 19, 1834. In 1856 she was united in marriage to James B. Dykeman and shortly after their marriage Mrs. Dykeman purchased a farm east of this village where they lived until Mr. Dykeman died in 1880. She resided with her children until the death of Mrs. Willard Dykeman when she went to live with her son. She enjoyed good health until ten years ago when she suffered a stroke and had since been very feeble. About three weeks ago she fell and broke her hip and had been confined to bed since then. Mr. and Mrs. Dykeman had eight children, two sons, Herbert and James, and one daughter, Mrs. S.G. Cornish, all of whom are dead, and two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. Nichols and Mrs. Charles B. Travis, both of this village, and three sons, Wlllard, of Tilly Foster, Frank, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Peter, of Riverton, Wyo. Funeral services will be held at the home of her son, Wlllard, in Tilly Foster, Saturday at 2 p.m., Dr. Brownson of the Baptist church officiating. Interment will be made In the Raymond Hill cemetery.
