John Francis DeCola Sr.
SALISBURY -- John Francis DeCola Sr., 84, of Salisbury died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late John and Martha Walsh DeCola.
Mr. DeCola was a U.S. Army/Air Force veteran who served during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Alice K. Bunting DeCola; four daughters, Janet Carver and her husband, Guy, of Fairfax Station, Va., Kathleen Campbell of Salisbury, Jacqueline DeCola of Alexandria, Va., and Patricia Shaddinger and her husband, Larry, of Burke, Va.; one son, John DeCola Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Salisbury; a special grandson, Kevin Campbell; six additional grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
A memorial graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. The Rev. William Kniceley will officiate.
