He was born June 12,1910, in Sugarcreek Township, a son of Elmer and Hattie (Campbell) Hepler.
He was a farmer and Donegal Twp., Supervisor, retiring in 1979. He was also a former school bus driver for Clepper Brothers and the Norman Shriver Bus Lones of Cowansville, and worked for the Fritz Moon Pipe and Tube Company Inc. in East Butler until the plant closed in 1963.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Long) Hepler, whom he married on March 29, 1939; two daughters. Adelaide Gibson of Butler, and Mrs. Joseph (Esther) Shultz of Fenelton; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Peschel of Kittanning; four brother, Floyd and John , both of Kittanning, and James and George, both of Worthington.
Friends will be received at the Thomas Steighner Funeral Home, Chicora, from 7-9p.m.
Burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia, Pa.
