Happy Birthday
What a grand old lady, she seems to be,
The mother of my father, and a friend to me.
Memories of her younger days, still clear in my mind
Of times spent together, all good times, I'll remind.
Sharp was her tongue, sometimes misunderstood,
She was a nice lady, always willing, always good
Her wit was quick, she enjoyed a good laugh,
A heart of pure gold, a friend to the last.
Thanks be to God for good health and long years,
Gather round now, and give, three good cheers,
And as the cheers ring, I'd like to say
"Happy Birthday Grandma, This is your day".
Love,
Allen (England) [grandson]
