DECATUR - Lillie B. Engle Ackerman, 101, of Decatur, formerly of Vandalia, died 8:15 p.m. Sunday (July 28, 1991) in Oak Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in South Hill Cemetery Vandalia. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ackerman was born on Jan. 30, 1890 in Fayette County, daughter of John and Alice Britton Engle. She was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church and Royal Neighbors of America, and she was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Charles C. Goodbrake in 1910. He died in 1931. She later married Mr. Ackerman, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Vivian Rushton of Rochester, Minn.; Rita Kennedy of Decatur; brother, John Engle of Killarney, Fla.; sister, Grace Diveley of Decatur; five grand-children; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. One daughter preceded her in death.
