At the time of his death, Airl was living in Fort Smith and he died in the Fort Smith Hospital. Airl was described as a supervisor for Eagle Food Centers and a Baptist.
His funeral service was on Friday at Edward Funeral Home Chapel.
His survivors include his wife, Mildred M. (Barnett) Deppe and two sons, Larry Eugene of Colchester, Illinois, and Jeral L. of Chester, Illinois. In addition he is survived by the following relatives: two sisters, Madge Shannon of Woodhull, Ill., and Gladys Chase of Keota, Iowa; three brothers, Clifford of Galesburg, Ill., Ernie of Oxford Junction, Iowa, and Leroy of Lynn Center, Ill.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
