| Birth: | Aug. 27, 1876 | | Death: | Jul. 26, 1960 |  Eugene Grace worked for the Bethlehem Steel for almost 60 years and made it into the nation's second largest steelmaker. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1899 with a degree in elect.eng. During his leadership the company became the largest single supplier of arms for the Allies during World War I. Grace encouraged the production of the company's H beams for skyscrapers. During WWII, Bethlehem Steel produced 73 million tons of steel, roughly one-third of the armor and parts for the big guns required by the Navy. Mr. Grace retired in 1957.
