CECIL VALCUS BOBO, JR.
Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Valcus Bobo, Jr., age 72, of Toney, were held Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Bethel Church of Christ with Rev. John Bobo and Rev. Paul Tarance officiating. Burial followed in the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mr. Bobo was born Dec. 26, 1937 in Fayette County. He died Wednesday, Aug. 11 at his residence. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ and retired from the Alabama Department of Education.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah McCaleb Bobo; and brother-in-law, Caldwell Hollingsworth.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Clark Bobo of Toney; daughter, Betsy Bobo (Lee) Carter of Prattville; son, John (Anna) Bobo of Prattville; sister, Jo Nell Hollingsworth of Fayette; grandchildren, Rebecca Carter, Scarlett Carter, Webb Bobo, Joy Bobo, Bell Bobo, all of Prattville; nieces, Diane Fisher and husband, Dennis, Kayla Fisher, Stephanie Boyd and husband, Stan and Hannah Clark; nephews, Bryan Fisher and wife, Stella, Benjamin Clark and wife, Follin and Daniel Clark; five great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Lee Carter, Daniel Clark, Benjamin Clark, Bryan Fisher, Stan Boyd, Dennis Fisher and Webb Bobo.
