Death: Jul. 6, 1922

Irish nationalist and revolutionary, second in command during the Easter Rising of 1916, where he was first wounded. Cheif of Staff for IRA 1917-1919. Minister of defence unitl 1922 but voted against the Anglo-Irish Treaty. Wounded fatally fighting in the 1922 Civil War. (bio by: David Conway)
