Harold Keenan Dies At Atchison Hospital
Harold Keenan, 43, Route 1, died Saturday morning at the Atchison hospital where he had been a patient a few days. He had been ailing since last May, but had been able to work until four weeks ago.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's church. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary cemetery. The rosary will be Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Harouff-Buis funeral home.
He was born Jan. 16. 1910, in Atchison, a son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Keenan, and was educated at Sacred Heart School. He and the former Lois Deviney were united in marriage Dec. 4, 1937 at St. Benedict's church.
For the last four and one-half years he had been employed in the electrical maintenance department of the Locomotive Finished Material Co. Previous to that he worked several years for the Kansas Power and Light Co., where he was a line foreman.
He served in the navy from 1925 to 1929. He worked several years for the Missouri Pacific railroad as a switchman and as a brakeman. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Surviving are his wife of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Keenan of Atchison, and a sister, Mrs. A.M. Davis of Berwyn, ID.
