Discovered tracks imbedded in stone at Pliny Moody's farm in S. Hadley, MA. His eventual collection of over 21,000 dinosaur tracks, 1,200 rock slabs, defining the science of paleoichnology, animal behavioral remnants, isviewable at Beneski museum in Amherst. Mt Hitchcock, Holyoke range, and Glacial Lake Hitchcock named in his honor.
