JAMES B. WEBB DIES
Secretary of Borrowed Time Club and Father of George D. Webb Passes Away

James B. Webb, secretary of the Borrowed Time club, who shared with the late "Father Robbins" the honor of being founder of that institution, died peacefully on Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter in Lombard.
The funeral service will be held this Saturday afternoon at the First Methodist church in Oak Park, of which he was a lifelong member. Rev. Dr. Wyckoff and Rev. Charles M. Morton will speak. The burial will be at Forest Home.
In spite of his eighty-three years, Mr. Webb had been in comfortable health up to a week ago when he had a partial stroke of paralysis that left him unconscious until his death He took great interest in the Borrowed Time club up to the last and was present at the meetin three weeks ago.
Mr. Webb was born in New York in 1832 and had lived in Oak Park since 1879. He was the father of George D. Webb of Oak Park, Frank D. Webb of Lewiston, Idaho, Lewis H. Webb of Lombard, and Mrs. Stella Manning of Lombard. With the latter he had made his home for the last five years altho spending much of his time with his son in Oak Park. Mrs. Webb died several years ago.

Mr. Webb founded the Borrowed Time club in 1902 in Oak Park, Illinois--a club made up of former businessmen over the age of "three score and ten" who wanted to get together to talk about current events.
