Rozell Fabiani, of Columbus, Georgia, who was employed with WRBL and hosted the "Rozell Show" from 1954-1988, died on Friday, March 11, 2005, at Doctors Hospital. She was a member of the Edgewood church of Christ and every Friday on her television show she would invite his viewers to services on Sunday.

Remembering and honoring the life of Mrs. Rozell Fair Fabiani; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rozell Fair Fabiani was born in Cleveland, Tennessee, to the late Alice White Fair and William Robert Fair; and
WHEREAS, she moved to Columbus, Georgia, in 1949 and went to work for WRBL radio as a receptionist and later served as advertising copy writer and continuity director before signing on with WRBL-TV in 1953 as director of women's programs; and
WHEREAS, fans remember her as the talented, witty, and amiable host of the unrehearsed "At Home with Rozell," which first aired on September 22, 1954, featuring colorful guests and the latest news and often giving a voice to worthy causes; and
WHEREAS, local television viewers invited her into their homes on more than 9,000 occasions to enjoy her conversations with politicians, Miss Americas, square dance callers, and a St. Bernard dog that, she quipped, "wasn't very talkative"; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fabiani founded the Gracious Ladies of Georgia, an organization that was established in 1977 to recognize women who have contributed to the advancement of their respective communities and improved the quality of life in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, she was the embodiment of the lines "A Gracious Lady is caring and sharing tear drops and pleasures. Her graciousness adds new dimensions to the lives of others and to her own as well," and she was sincerely "concerned... for family, for friends, for her community and her State and Nation. You know... but sometimes are prone to forget, that she too, has climbed many mountains... has walked in many lonely valleys. You forget because behind that gracious serenity of her face... shines through an inner peace that is no less than a gift from God"; and
WHEREAS, the Columbus community and the State of Georgia will not forget the legacy of this truly remarkable and gracious lady.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join to express their deep regret at the passing of Mrs. Rozell Fair Fabiani and extend their sincere condolences to her family.
