Feb., 1842 Bloomfield Stoddard County Missouri, USA
William was son of Stephen and Sarah Morrow Babb. He was married to Temperance Shipman, daughter of Daniel and Phebe Staton Shipman. They married 2 May 1808 in Barren Co. KY. By 1820 they were in Crawford Co. IN. They then moved to TN, IL, and MO, ending up in the part of Cape Girardeau Co. that became Stoddard Co. MO. They were parents of at least 11 children.
I have not seen proof of his middle name. His mother was a Morrow and his daughter Narcissa Babb Bland named a son William Morrow B. (Babb?) Bland, maybe after her father. So, I suspect he was named William Morrow Babb after a grandfather.
The book "Martin Christopher Randleman, His Kith and Kin" says that William M. Babb was buried in Bloomfield, Stoddard County, Missouri Cemtery.
William signed his will 2 Jan 1842 and it was recorded 22 Feb 1842 so his death was between those dates.
