Ellene Lane Abell, 83
Ellene Lane "Maw Maw" Abell, 83, Lebanon, died Jan. 1, 2005, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born April 20, 1921, in Casey County, Abell retired as a nurse's aide at Cedar's of Lebanon Nursing Center.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Don Abell; parents, Albert and Margaret Phillips Lane; a brother, Russell Lane; a grandson, Larry Gribbins; and a great-great-grandson, Mike Gribbins.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jerel Sue Abell Lanham of Gravel Switch and Shirley Ann Abell of Calvary; two sisters, Irene Hatter of Enon, Ohio, and Christine Shepperson of Forkland; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Jan. 4 at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville. Bro. Jerry Lanham officiated.
Active pallbearers were Tony, Todd and Cody Lanham, Michael Gribbins, Donald McGaughey and Brian Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Emma Overstreet and Evan Gribbins.
Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
