John Wetherbee Washburn is the youngest child of Lorenzo Marsh Washburn and Harriet Atwood Kellogg, born in 1868 in Worcester, VT. He married Myrtie Estelle Warren in 1888, either Craftsbury or Worcester, VT. John and Myrtie moved to Montpelier, VT where they remained until their death.
John and Myrtie are parents of Wendell Lewis Washburn and Kenneth Merle Washburn, sometimes referred to as Kenneth Warren Washburn. Both Wendell and Kenneth worked at the National Life Insurance Co. in Montpelier, VT; Wendell for 45 years and Kenneth for 47 years! John Washburn also worked at the National Life Insurance Co., and retired from there, but after "only" 23 years...
