Luther Arnold Alston 69 years 11 months 21 days of age. Passed from this life on Wednesday February 15, 2006 at his home in Luther, Oklahoma. He was born February 25, 1936 in Nuyaka, Okmulgee Co., Oklahoma. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing on the Arkansas river in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers, and one grandson Joseph Henderson. He is survived by his loving wife Glendola of the home, five sons: Luke Alston Jr. and wife Rebekah of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jim Alston and wife JoAnn of Bethany, Oklahoma. Steven Alston and wife Debra of Luther, Oklahoma. Glen Alston and wife Felecia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Bobby Alston and wife Judy of Luther, Oklahoma. two daughters: Reva Henderson and Kathy Hayes and husband Gary all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. four brothers: Gene Alston, Gerald Alston, Jimmy Alston and O. B. Alston and one sister: Mary Lois Alston. 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services were 10:30 a.m. Friday February 17, 2006 at the Browns Funeral Chapel Luther, Oklahoma with Bro. Mike Mackey officiating. Internment was at the Okfuskee Cemetery in Okfuskee, Oklahoma.
