George Imbrogno, 82, of 3033 Marie Ave., Lorain, employed in No. 1 machine shop of Lorain- Cuyahoga Works, U.S. Steel Corp. for 34 years before retiring in 1958, died yesterday at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Imbrogno was born in Cosenza, Italy and had lived in Cleveland before moving to Lorain 34 years ago. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of St. Peter Church.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Carmella, nee Gerace: a son, Eugene of Cleveland: two grandchildren and two brothers, Eugene of Lorain and Stano of Italy.

Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Reidy-Scanlan Funeral Home, Lorain, where a Christian wake service will be held tomorrow at 8 p.m. Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Church. The Rev. Joseph C. Step will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
