Charles Wolf, b. ca 1804, d. 1833, m. 1824 in AR, Polly Woods. Charles lived on the White River and his first child was born there before they moved to Logan Co., AR, where Charles later died. This man's great grandson who was the son of A. Floyd attended the Norfork reunion of the family in 1978. He lived in Okla. City, OK at the time and has many records on this part of the family.
Charles was commissioned Ensign on 16 Jul 1824 and 1st Lt. on 27 Jan 1826 in Independence Co., Arkansas Territory.
The commission is signed by Govenor George Izard, 2nd territorial Govenor of Arkansas. Charles's signature appears on an upper corner of the back of the document.
His 5 children were born in Arkansas Territory. He was short, heavy set with blue eyes. He died of Black Tounge as a realtively young man.
Charles Wolf died at McLean Bottoms and that was in Logan County, AR. I did not find such a place as there is not a town listed by that name. In order to tie him to his parents in the historic Wolf Cemetery in Norfork, AR his burial is listed where many members of his family are buried here in Logan County.
