George Elza Blair, 83
Lifelong resident of Wells County, George Elza Blair, 83, died Wednesday at 8:20 a.m. at the United Methodist Home in Warren. He had been a resident of 6490S-100W in Poneto.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1912, in Huntington County to Charles E. and Flora Belle Fudge Blair. His marriage was on Feb. 12, 1935 in Warren to Nina Louise Sliger. She preceded him in death on Jan. 13. 1988.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Warren.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Rose Marie) Harris of Montpelier; four sisters, Mrs. Harrold (Mary Beck) of Markle, Neoma Cloud and June Irene Blair, both of Warren, and Mrs. Susie Grace Stock of Jonesboro; a brother, Phil Blair of Warren; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling will be 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Bergman-Glancy H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
Additional calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Saturday at the Applegate Chapel United Methodist Memorial home in Warren. Rev. Dan Cash will officiate.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
Memorials to the First Baptist Church in Warren.
