McCROSKEY, CHARLES "EDDIE" - age 56 of Seymour, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Baptist Medical Center. He is preceded in death by: father, William D. McCroskey and sister, Doris McCroskey. Survivors include: his wife, Peggy McCroskey; daughters, Rebecca Lewis and husband John of South Knoxville, Kelli Gibson and husband Scott of Seymour; grandson, Daniel Gibson; mother, Lillian McCroskey; sisters, Sandra Hood and husband Lynn, Kathy Dalton and husband Mike, both of Seymour, Elizabeth Romines of Georgia, Eleanor King of Seymour; brother Jeff McCroskey and wife Kathy of Seymour, Bill McCroskey, Jr. and wife Ada of Sevierville; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Juanita West of Seymour; sisters-in-law, Patty Boling and Pam Carter of Seymour; brothers-in-law, Bill West, Jr. and wife Kaye of Knoxville, George West and wife Lea of Seymour and a special K-9 companion, Scrappy. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at New Hopewell Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joel Tilson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland South Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be nephews: Will West, Adam Trent, Aaron West, Adam Hood, Lee McCroskey, David Dalton, Cody Boling, Jared Carter, Reese McCroskey and Nathan Hood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: New Hopewell Baptist Church, Corey's Christmas Store, 943 Kimberlin Heights Road, Knoxville, TN 37920.
