Carmen Henry Julian, 80, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010.

He was the son of the late Ella Sharp and Floyd C. Julian of Knoxville, TN.

A resident of Knoxville, TN he moved to Chattanooga, TN when transferred by TVA in 1955. He retired in 1984.

Mr. Julian served in the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl C. Julian, Bobby Julian and Carroll Julian.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Barbara Morgan Julian; children, David H. (Debbie) Julian, of Chattanooga, TN, Deborah J. (Boyce) Tate, of Lake Worth, FL, Richard D. Julian, of Chattanooga, TN, Denise J. Miles, of Chattanooga, TN; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, L.D. Julian, of Knoxville, TN, Billie (Wayne) James, of Vermillion, SD, JoElla (Thurston) Cooke, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, Pauline (Stan) Babb, of Rossville, GA, Tommy Julian, of Knoxville, TN, Darrell (Peggye) Julian, of Dandridge, TN; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at the North Chapel with the Rev. Wayne James officiating.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery.

Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from noon until 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2010, at the North Chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alpha-1 Association, 2937 S.W. 27th Avenue, Suite 106, Miami, FL 33133.

Arrangements are made by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
