Amanda was baptized Lutheran, in Waynesboro, Franklin County, PA., August 15,1856 by Reverend John Heck, the only parent listed was Elizabeth Miller. The other children baptized that day were Ann Maria Miller, born April 7, 1849; John Calvin Miller, born January 19, 1850, who married Annie Maria Royer; and Nancy Savilla Miller, born July 29,1856, who married Lewis (Calvin) Smith.
