George was the son of William Andrew and Margaret Augusta "Maggie" Allinger Brink. He married 1st Hattie Ellen Kanatzar on June 9, 1934 in Mexico, Audrain, MO. From this union were born three children: Beverly Faye Gwin, Donald Ray and Phyllis Kaye Lake. He married 2nd Viola Frances Fainter.

George A. Brink, 93, of Liberty, MO, passed away August 5, 2003 at Independence Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Thursday, August 7, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at M-291, Liberty. In Sturgeon, MO, visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, at the Fenton Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, MO. George was born August 16, 1909, in Sturgeon, MO. He moved to the Kansas City area in 1953. George worked for Jack Cooper Transport Company from 1953 until retirement in 1971. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret (Allinger) Brink, two brothers, three sisters, his first wife, Hattie, and second wife, Frances. He was also preceded in death by great-grandchildren, Jason and Emily Gwin, and great-great grandsons, Gary and Christopher Siwiec. Survivors include three children and their spouses: Donald and Karen Brink, Independence, MO, Beverly and Stanley Gwin, Liberty, MO, and Phyllis and Jerry Lake, Raymore, MO; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. George will be fondly remembered for his love for dancing and as an avid gardener and fisherman. He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.
